Wish it could be less than 1 star
By Dave
I bought this scale in a store, came home read the reviews before I tried it out and thought ugh, now I have to go back to the store. Although I didn't believe it could be off by so much like one other review pointed out, but it was. Depending upon where I placed the scale (all level, hard floors, not carpets/rugs) I had different weights between the lowest and the highest I'd say it was a 15lb (6.8Kg/1.07stone) window. The box said "Accurate within .2lbs" haha.

The worst product I have ever owned
By Matt Sprague
This product worked like a charm for the first 6 weeks of use, but now, less than 60 days later, it is throwing all kinds of error messages and improperly reading weight. Homedics support insists on me shipping to them, something that will most likely ending up taking months and costing me about the same as a new scale. Save yourself frustration and buy something else, don't ignore the reviews like I did.

Complete Junk
By John Campbell
This scale may serve some purpose, but it is absolutely useless as a human weight measuring device. It gives readings that vary more that twenty pounds depending on where you stand on the scale. I also find the reading changes based on the ambient temperature. If I turn on the AC, this scale thinks I lost 15 pounds in 10 minutes.

great basic scale
By Kendra C. Smith
This scale is excellent. It's sturdy so you can hop on without feeling like you have to be careful not to damage it. The numbers don't fluctuate either. You can get on one time, get your weight, get off, get back on again and it'll say the same exact thing. Highly recommended if you're looking for a basic scale. :]

Being fat sucks...
By Bess
... for many different reasons.Reason 3,458,921 Of Why Being Fat Sucks: We peg out the "310 Pound Max" WalMart scales.Did a good bit of research online as far as 'scales for fat guys' and wound up choosing this one.I've had it for a day now so I can't really comment on its long term durability (which is obviously going to be something worth factoring in; it's a plastic bodied scale expected to hold someone who weighs as much as a Prius, so we shall see...), but these are my initial impressions.First, I'm giving it four stars based on what I have in front of me, without knowing whether or not it will hold up. If it does hold up over a few months, I'll upgrade this to 5 stars.Accuracy: This unit was spot on the money. My fiancee was weighed by the doctor three days ago and this scale was right at what the doctors pricey scale said.Operation: RTFM (Read The F****ng Manual). Some of these other reviews that complain about it 'not working' clearly did not RTFM.Operation goes a little something like this.Step 1: Lightly press your foot in the middle of the scale to turn it "on".Step 2: Stand on scale.Step 3: Read weight, seriously regret eating all those second helpings of dinnerStep 4: Get off scale (it automatically shuts down)Step 5: Eat LessStep 6: Work out more. So, that's about it.I needed a scale for a fat guy, this seems to fit the bill. Hopefully, I'm about to engage in a lifestyle change that will put me back in the realm of 'people who can be weighed by regular scales'. Until that time, this will accompany me on the long and difficult journey to get there.

Scales
By Steve Butler
These scales are the third set I have bought to weigh myself. I am a big guy (360) & these are the first that will weigh me the same two times in a row. Yes, they do kind of have a small space to stand on but I believe it makes them more accurate. If you weigh too much in pounds you can always switch them to kilos & weigh half as much! The other scales I tried would not weigh the same twice in a row & they sounded like they were breaking to pieces when I stepped on them.If your big like me I can recommend these scales.

Faulty out of the box
By Geo. G.
One of the feet was off the scale when received. I had to modify it before I could re-attach it on the scale. The screw channels were longer than the screws provided so I had to cut them down and then attach the foot. Requires an excessive amount of downward force to get it to turn on and then the weight values are inconsistent. It is a poor product but not worth returning. I will never buy from them again. No kick against Amazon.

Perfect But Delicate
By cmehta82
This is a nice and accurate scale. But it's delicate to handle and is a bit heavy in itself. Still accuracy is good as I compared my weight with my doctor's scale too. I loved it and will recommend it as it is cheaper also.

Accurate scale...still working
By Island Girl
I have owned this scale for about a week. First of all, the manual is well written, simple, and accurate. Both my mother and I use the scale and have found it to be accurate as compared to our old analog scale. To be honest, our old scale gave varying readings of 1 and 2 pound differences with each repeated weighing at 1-minute intervals. The Taylor 7009 gave consistent readings under the same test everytime except once where the pound difference was up by 0.5.The scale is relatively small, neat, and gorgeous with its black and silver finish. It has quite a slim profile, and it does feel solid and seems durable, but only time will tell if it is durable. The display is large and the numbers are very easy to read. On the topic of the display, it must be noted that the scale gives a reading within 3 to 4 seconds of standing on it, and it dutifully turns itself off after a few seconds. (I believe this is why the battery would be able to last a lifetime as the manufacturer promises). It is very sensitive, so it is advisable that once you stand on it, remain as still as possible, because too much movement will result in an Error message on the display. This is easily resolved by stepping off and then on the scale again. In short, this is a beautifully made scale which functions the way it should - accurately.UPDATE:It is now June 2012, and my scale is still working. I've noticed within the last few weeks that if I weigh repeatedly in 1-minute intervals, I get different readings (0.5-2 pounds difference). I suppose that is the age of the scale stepping in. It must be noted that I purchased another Taylor scale after this, and the quality was no where as good as this item. That scale I gave away, and kept this one. I do not regret purchasing this scale

Great scale!
By Shopper
I got this scale about a week ago and absolutely love it! Don't get fooled by its size - it's smaller and thinner than some other scales so you can store it more easily. It's very precise - I even tried weighting myself several times in a row and always got the same reading! It has a little switch on the bottom so you can choose whether you want your weight shown in pounds or kilograms. Based on your settings, it displays weight in either 0.2 kg or 0.5 lb increments. If you store the scale elsewhere than where you weigh yourself, the manual prompts you to step on the scale, and then step off regardless of the reading. Then you step on it again and weigh yourself as usual. That way the scale adjusts itself to the different surface and the reading is more accurate.Overall, I would recommend this product.

Item stopped working 41 days after first use!!
By New Bride
Sure its gorgeous, but I agree with "This scale is nuts" reviewer.First of all, it takes half a minute to give a read-out, many many "err" mis-reads, then this morning, it claims I am 102.5 pounds. (three times in a row) Oh, if only THAT were true! Okay, just now, it said 100 pounds, oh man I must be dying!! And YES I checked that the switch was on lbs and not kg.Spend more money and buy a GOOD scale! This is the second cheaper scale I bought, now I am getting a GOOD one.Oh yes, also, I did not spill water on it.

Save your money
By Patricia
This scale is so flimsy I am surprised it arrived in one piece. My weight changes everyday. Today it is 99, yesterday it was 127. This scale does not work, I am returning.

I bought a broken scale
By shirley
I was seeking for a weight scale with a cheaper price, and feel like this product is more appropriate. When I receive it, I found the battery base is gone! It means I have no place to put battery, and it looks like a used one as well because the dirts and scratches on it's back side. No battery, useless, spend money buy a trash!(T_T)

Not bad for what it is...
By Morgan Lutheran
The color is MUCH bluer than the yellowish green in the photo. This was a bit of a let down to me. It seems to function relatively well, however the battery didn't last long, and it started working only sporadically after the battery started running low. Overall, not a bad scale.
