Taylor Scale is the "cat's meow".
By Robert S. Tannehill Jr.
We have had this model of Taylor scale for at least 10 years. We have found it to be accurate, easy to use, readable from the person standing on it, easy to keep clean, convenient to stand on(plenty of foot-space), reasonable in cost.If there is any aspect needing a change, it is the metal used for the scale. I note that after some years, the edges of the scale are rusting a very small amount. The scale seems to be painted metal, so the company might want to consider a different coating for the metal or to use, for example, stainless steel. We like the plastic weight markers that are around the scale meter, as one can slide one of the 4 markers to a target weight one wants to achieve, ormark where one is so that changes can be seen at a glance, etc.Tannyscot 5 Dec 2009

excellent quality
By Lisa
After owning my grandmothers scale which was at least 50 years old my husband decided to use it to weigh the garage door. The door came crashing down on it and that was the last of my scale. I had purchased two digital scales in the last year and both broke. They were the $25 taylor digital scales. Nothing fancy. I went back to the old fashion scale. It gives accurate measurements everytime. It is made of all metal other than the clear plastic that covers the numbers. Very sturdy. Loved my grandmothers scale because it was smaller and had a handle on the top but this is the closest I could find to it. It is large. I would definitly buy it again if you are looking for something that won't break.I've owned it for 6 months and have 6 family members that use it often.

Nice size, easy to read
By JBinMD
I like this scale because it has a large area to stand. I also like it because it is very easy to read. It does seem to not be exact, but within a couple pounds. You can get on and off several times in a row and be a pound or two up or down each time. But, if you don't need it to be exact, it is a nice scale. I had a similar one which my husband smashed under the garage door which had chrome around the numbers and that turned green which was kind of nasty so I prefer the white plastic on this one. I also like that you have little tabs you can set to track weight for multiple people in the family. It is large, but I like that feature. I tried several smaller ones at the store and felt like I was falling off~

Small Digital Footprint Bathroom Scale
By H. Marie Picard
You can't find a better scale for the price! It's dead accurate with my doctor's scale, easily read, and takes up very little space in the bthroom.

Disappointed, returning and buying a different scale....
By Amalee
I bought this scale approximately a month ago, and I am disappointed in it. The numbers are all over the place. I would weigh myself a couple of times within a minute and the scale would read me drastically different results. The difference has been as little as 2-4 pounds and as high as 30 lbs. Other times the numbers would jump back and forth without entirely giving me a read. Today I filed with Amazon to return it, and now I'm looking for a new one. Save your time and money, and keep shopping for a better product.

its not what i thought it would be
By Mymy
This scale is really pretty to look at and it looks really good wherever you place it. I was really excited when I got it and placed it in my bathroom. I stepped on it after i figured out how to turn it on and it felt awkward because it's so tiny. I know it was gonna be small but my feet were sticking out from both ends and it just made me wonder how accurate this really could be. I feel like all my weight is carried more on my heels so I made sure my heels were on the scale but so much of my feet were still sticking out in front that it was hard holding my balance. I don't know if it has anything to do that my bathroom floor is linoleum and I'm on a second story but every time I step on it I get a different reading. :-/It was pretty cheap and I guess I got what I paid for but still disappointed with it. I still have it in my bathroom though, it makes it look hi-techey ;)

Great lil scale!
By presherme
Great lil scale! Really like the simplicity..no need to tap and wait for it to cycle before stepping on it, and it's very cute, too. Since we live in a very small space, we keep the scale standing upright, so it doesn't receive much light to charge the battery. No big deal. I simply hold up to the light briefly (generally while brushing my teeth) then the battery is charged. It's a wonderful and decorative little scale. I recommend!

love my little chatty "Weighty"
By ReadaGoodBook
Arrived nicely packaged, a plus is it comes w/ a body tape measure. At first glance I was bit skeptical as it is glass and a bit delicate looking. It held up and yes the scale talks. I call her Weighty (the actual name of someone I know) and at times she tells me to "stand still please", but just when I am fidgeting. Sometimes she is my friend, sometimes she is a real bitty. She is loud, loud enough to let anyone in the next room know my weight. Keeps me trying even harder to bring that number down. It would be awesome if after a few pounds lost if she said "Good job lightening my load there." Or after a sodium filled day she could say "I think you are retaining water, you water buffalo." I like the scale because I can weigh myself w/out my eyeglasses on first thing in the morning, besides those glasses would probably add .2 lbs. Before I bought this scale I looked around at a few box stores and the price and quality of this one just can't be beat. I got the black one and it looks sharp. My previous scale (another brand) was acting up- it was white plastic and showed every speck of dirt. As for accuracy this scale has been spot on. I haven't had any problems with my weight changing from one minute to the next. I made sure to test it out because this was what my old scale was doing; I don't think it is possible to gain 3 lbs in a minute! Would highly recommend this scale, price can't be beat!

Good scale
By Amanda
I got this scale the other day in hopes of losing weight (you know, to lose it, you need to know where you started... and what your weight is currently... scales are important). This scale seemed like a good deal, I liked the design, and the talking feature (which can be disabled as well, by the way) seemed like a good motivator because I'm forced to not only *see* my weight, but *hear* it too. So far, so good.I've had a couple times where I couldn't get the scale to turn on/recognize I was trying to use it or have a delay but it may be the batteries (though I've only had it a few days and it included new batteries). As for the previous 1 star reviewer, I have had a couple times where the scale said "stand still" a few times, but at most only 5-6 and it stopped once I was truly holding still/balancing. Certainly not 19 times, which would be incredibly annoying! For the features it comes with, the price, and the audio aspect, I really liked it and I'd recommend it! :)

Pretty good scale
By MissByanka
Seems pretty accurate. Unfortunately it doesn't turn on with a simple tap. I have to lift part of it sometime to get the feet to register. But definitely a great scale for the price. Only change I would like is if you could change the volume of how loud the voice is. I've just shut it off because it's so loud in my bathroom.

Don't "weight" any longer!
By Fred Lord
Finally, a scale that is reliable. Forget the alternatives. I bought it for my home. I had tired of scales that would give different readings every time I stepped on them. Also, it's nice to find a well-made product from the U.S.A. at a reasonable price.

something that works
By Bradley Sharp
After years of trying many floor scales that broke, were always giving different weights each time I stepped on then got off and back on again, I finally decided to go for scales that work instead of designer color floor scales. This is a very solidly made product that should last a lifetime. Highly recommend.

Lots of $ for a finicky product
By Real Time
This scale is easily offended if you touch it wrong. I have had to pick it up, turn it over and readjust it twice (quite a process as it's very heavy) in less than two months because my housekeeper bumped it somewhat when she was dusting near it. Not what I expected at this price point. I figured it would be as sturdy as the one in my doctor's office (which is a different brand but same design). I would not purchase this brand of scale again.

A great little scale
By One Fancy Angel
I did not want anymore digital scales with fancy ways of weighing oneself. I just wanted a scale that easily pointed to my weight. This is a dandy little scale. First of all, I have a very small bathroom, and this scale just fits your feet and fits nicely in a small space. In fact, my mom, who also has small bathrooms, asked me to order her one. I know this scale is accurate as its weight matched half-pound per half-pound the scale at my doctor's office on the same day. I love my little scale and would recommend it to anyone who is sick of scales having whoops and hollers.

does the job
By OKC.
forget all the other overpriced scales, this one is accurate and does not require battery and less maintenance than all the digital scales.

You Get What You Pay For
By J. McIver
With 61 reviewers and a 4 star rating with a price of $9.99 I thought it would be the perfect bathroom scale to keep track of my weight. This is the worst scale I have ever used!!!! From the time I opened the box and read the owners manual and used it for the first time, this scale has NEVER given me a accurate reading! I can weigh myself 10 times in a row and get 10 different readings that fluctuate between being 5 lbs under to 5 lbs over my actual weight. And once I step off the scale it never returns to 0, its always off balance. I have to adjust it every time. At $9.99 you get a cheap scale for a cheap price, I would NOT recommend buying this scale.

Very poor product
By David W. Heitman
This unit arrived with a two-page pamphlet for instructions. The battery is loosely held in the battery compartment, and the unit cannot convert to pounds (there is a "Unit" button on the bottom but, after pressing this button and it displaying "lbs" in the display it reverts back to kg for weight). 9 times out of 10 the unit shuts off without displaying a weight. Avoid this unit.

Worked for one day...
By CalamityJ
I purchased this scale and found it easy to use...for the first 24 hours. After that, it read the weights all wrong and maxed out to ERR every time anyone stepped on it. Avoid this unit.
