This scale has a wide range of functions including bioelectrical impedance measurements of weight, body fat %, hydration %, muscle %, bone mass, basal and active metabolic rate in Kcal. The design is modern and sleek and is a handsome addition to any home. The main problem is my unit started giving error messages after 1 year use. I contacted Beurer and their solution was to return it to the store I bought it from. Beurer's policy is they will allow you to exchange that model for a newer model free of charge, which is quite convenient, and helps avoid dealing with packing, shipping and Return Authorization #'s.

How can scales help you lose weight? The Beurer BF 66 achieves that and more by providing instant gratification and by becoming a friend whom you won't want to disappoint. You'll become a more discriminating eater and your friend will reinforce your altered behavior. I unpacked it 25 days ago and I'm down 10 lbs (notwithstanding a little backsliding at Little Italy last week).
