I chose this scale based on the thin glass design. It also available in White and Silver depending on your preferenceSoehnle 63538 Slim Design Quattrotronic Scale, Silver. Soehnle has so many beautiful designs it is hard to choose.I wanted something that looks great sitting out on my bathroom floor, and I wanted something thin. This scale is only 0.7" thick. It is a great looking, very accurate and well priced scale. It does not slide around, so it is very stable even though it is thin. All other scales that I've owned were destroyed because of water or cracking, but this one is solid and so well designed that it cannot crack and fall apart and cannot be damaged by a few drops of water. I'm thrilled that I chose such a good one this time around and expect that it will last many years.

The scale is very attractive and sturdy, looks great on my slate floor, although with a glass surface you need to keep it clean. It reads out about two pounds less than it should, but the biggest drawback is that a replacement battery is not easily attainable in the bricks and mortar world--Best Buy and Radio Shack don't carry it. You should probably order one or two extras when you order the scale (battery lasts about a year).

My girlfriend likes it . it seems a little off to me but sometimes it weighs me different 10 minutes apart from stepping on it
