Great scale - the final reading's step size is rather large, as some had mentioned (reads weight in 1-1.5 lb increments, due to the quantization of the pressure sensor, since the scale is digital) but the reading is ACCURATE. These are two very different things. Your weight during any given day fluctuates by up to 3-4 lbs, therefore a smaller step size is really unnecessary. This scale has always read +-1 lb from the reading of the expensive, springless scale at the fitness center at my college. Sleek look, batteries last forever, and works well.The single star review talked about a difference in five pounds, and I experienced this at first as well. However, if you look at the manual, it (not so clearly) states that a calibration is necessary, where you step on the device and let it zero itself out before weighing yourself. If not done properly, it will add the 4.6 lbs to your final weight. (If you can't get it zeroed, just subtract off the weight when you're not standing on it from your final reading. Think of it as an additional brain exercise... FOR FREE!!) Also, the next morning, you should be lighter, because you breathe out a good amount of moisture into the air. Every morning I weigh 2 lbs less than the night before.As I said before, solid scale, stood up to two moves, and consistently weighs me as well as my girlfriend accurately. Couldn't ask for anything more, even from a more expensive scale.

We got the scale and initially it was reading very high. After a few times using it, it seemed fairly accurate(+/- 1 lb) and we use it regularly now. I like the bright blue backlit display and it flashes once your final reading is registered. Barefoot, it doesn't seem to be slippery standing on the glass, but maybe with some water on there, it might be.FOr the price, it looks great, is accurate, and beats those old mechanical scales!

I was a bit sceptical about buying a digital scale on-line because of all the bad reviews they have received on here but had a gift card, was starting a new diet and needed it to go up to 400lbs since most stop at 350. I have to say I <3 this scale! I have had no issues whatsoever! It was delivered right to my door and in less time than predicted by Amazon. When I first took it out of the box I tested it and thought "Great! I got a faulty scale and I have to return it" because it wouldn't turn on. Come to realize later I had to put my own batteries -__- DUH! lol After I did that I tried it out a couple times. I weighed myself various times, I weighed my nephew and even the house cat lol Just to make super sure it was right I had my sister hop on her scale and then mine to make sure it was the same weight on both and it was. The scale is very nice and sleek and the glass is very sturdy. All in all this was a great purchase for me and I've had no problems with it a week later. I <3 this scale and for the price you can't say no!
